The author of The Rhyme of King Harold
is Ian Macgill, a journalist who lives in Sheffield, England,
where for many years he has owned and edited
the city's Grapevine Magazine.

He was born in 1955, in Selby, Yorkshire, which is not far from
from two of 1066's three battlefields - Fulford Gate, and Stamford Bridge.
The Rhyme of King Harold is his first novel.

Six volumes of King Harold's verses have been completed,
and the next five will be published one at a time between now and 2018,
coinciding with the October 14th anniversary of The Battle of Hastings.
